Driving licence records
The operator needs to know the driver is entitled to drive the vehicle. On GOV.UK you check someone's driving licence information with a code from the driver. DVLA states that the code is single use and must be used within 21 days. Zerity stores the licence record, the date it was checked and the expiry. Track every expiry date in one place. Right to work
The Home Office Right to work checks: an employer's guide sets out the check for people you employ. From 1 October 2026, right to work checks also apply to workers and to individual subcontractors who personally do work you have contracted to provide, for engagements that start on or after that date — see Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, section 14A. Insurance and vehicle documents
Insurance, MOT and vehicle tax sit on the same driver when that person uses the van. The walkaround is a separate record. DVSA's Guide to maintaining roadworthiness says a driver or responsible person must carry out a walkaround check before a goods vehicle is used on the public highway. The check should preferably take place immediately before use, and at least one check must be carried out every day or once in each 24-hour period the vehicle is used. Zerity stores the result. What an expiry does

How this differs from compliance software
Compliance software is the depot view: every driver, the vehicle documents, and the pack for an auditor. This page is the driver record only. Telematics tracks the van. A workshop tracks the repair. Zerity tracks the person who is allowed to drive, the documents that show it, and the self-billing agreement that pays them.
The audit pack
