Best fleet management software in the UK (2026)
Compare UK fleet management software in 2026 by the job it does: telematics, route planning, or driver compliance and pay. Shortlist on that gap.
18 January 2025 · Zerity editorial team
The best fleet management software in the UK is the product that matches the job, not a single ranked winner. Telematics shows where the van is. Route planning orders the drops. Driver-file software stores onboarding, document expiry and self-billed pay. Zerity is that third product, at £6 per active driver per month. It is not a live GPS tracker.

Three jobs that get called fleet software
Buyers search for one phrase and then discover three products.
| Job | The question it answers | Typical buyer | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| Telematics | Where is the van, how was it driven, what did the camera see? | A fleet that owns vehicles and wants location and safety evidence | Quartix, RAM Tracking, Webfleet, Samsara |
| Route planning and proof of delivery | In what order do we drop, and can we prove it? | A multi-drop operation that plans the day | Track-POD, OptimoRoute, eLogii |
| Driver file and pay | Who is allowed to drive, which document expires, and how are they paid? | A UK courier depot or Amazon DSP using employed and self-employed drivers | Zerity. FleetCheck and Truckfile sit nearer the vehicle file |
A depot can buy two. Many do: a tracker on the van, and a file for the driver. Buying a second system you will not open is the expensive mistake. Name the gap before you name a product.

| Product | Job it does | Public pricing shape | UK courier fit | What this article will not claim it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zerity | Driver onboarding, document expiry, self-billed pay | £6 per active driver per month for the self-serve platform, no setup fee on that path, no contract, 30-day money-back guarantee. A dated Go-Live for an existing depot is a one-off fee quoted on the demo, not included in the £6 | Courier companies and Amazon DSPs | Live GPS, route optimisation, charger telemetry, automated DVLA checks |
| Quartix | Vehicle tracking and driver behaviour | £9.99, £11.99 or £15.99 per vehicle per month on the UK plans page, excluding local taxes | Depots that need to see vans | A courier self-billing pay run |
| RAM Tracking | GPS tracking. Higher bundles add cameras | From £7.99 per vehicle per month on its pricing page. Camera bundles shown there are on a 36-month term | Van tracking | Courier self-billing |
| Webfleet | Tracking, routing, tachograph tools, proof of delivery | Confirm on webfleet.com. No figure is repeated here | Mixed van and truck fleets, including European work | A UK driver file priced per active driver |
| Samsara | Telematics and connected cameras | Ask Samsara. This article does not state a per-vehicle price | Fleets that want video evidence | Driver onboarding and self-billed pay for a UK DSP |
| FleetCheck | Vehicle and driver records, including MOT, service, licence administration and inspections, as its homepage describes | No per-vehicle price on that homepage. Ask FleetCheck | Operators who need a vehicle compliance file, including O-licence fleets | A courier pay run. See the FleetCheck alternative note |
| Track-POD | Route planning and electronic proof of delivery, as track-pod.com describes | Confirm on their site | Multi-drop routing and proof of delivery | The driver compliance file |
| OptimoRoute | Route planning | Confirm on optimoroute.com | Ordering stops | Driver documents and pay |
| eLogii | Delivery management and routing | Confirm on elogii.com | Planning multi-drop work | The driver file |
Truckfile is another vehicle-compliance file. Read the Truckfile alternative page and the vendor's own site before you compare a price.
Quartix's three published UK tiers, on the day checked, were Info Point at £9.99, Info Plus at £11.99 and Info Fleet at £15.99 per vehicle per month, excluding local taxes. Info Plus adds faster updates and driver behaviour. Info Fleet adds alerts, fuel-card integration and what Quartix calls Fleet Check. Contract length changes the deal. Read the plan page rather than a screenshot in a roundup.
RAM Tracking's pricing page leads with "from £7.99 per vehicle per month". The camera bundles on the same page are priced separately and tied to a 36-month term. Quote the line you would actually buy.
Webfleet's UK product pages describe GPS tracking, route tools, tachograph download and electronic proof of delivery. That is a telematics and workflow suite, strongest where you run trucks as well as vans. Because a public per-vehicle tariff was not taken from Webfleet's own pricing page for this update, the cell says confirm.
Samsara is the name that appears when a buyer wants cameras and an IoT platform. Do not compare it with a £6 driver file as if they were the same line on a budget. They answer different questions.
FleetCheck's homepage says the product stores vehicle and driver information so a fleet does not miss an MOT, a service, a licence check or a safety inspection. That is a vehicle-and-driver compliance file. It is closer to Zerity than a GPS tracker is, and it is still not the same product: Zerity's centre is courier onboarding and self-billed pay for depots and DSPs. If you need a deep maintenance and operator-licence workshop file, a vehicle system may sit beside a driver system. Buy the second only if you will use it.
Where Zerity fits
Zerity is driver management for UK courier companies and Amazon DSPs: onboarding, right-to-work documents, licence documents and expiry, vehicle inspection records, and self-billed pay runs. The public price is £6 per active driver per month for the self-serve platform. There is no setup fee on that path, no contract, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Importing an existing depot and running the first pay Friday is a dated Go-Live with a one-off fee quoted on the demo, not included in the £6. More than 100,000 drivers have been onboarded, and more than 50 UK fleets and more than 50 Amazon DSPs use it.
It does not show a live map. It does not optimise a route. It does not read a charger. It does not log into DVLA. You view the licence with the driver's share code and store what you saw. That limit is deliberate. If the gap on your list is "I cannot see the van", shortlist Quartix, RAM, Webfleet or Samsara, and keep Zerity only if you also need the driver file.
Driver compliance software is the product page for the file. Self-billing is the pay run. Electric vehicle fleet management software is the same split when the van is electric: the battery is a telematics question, the driver file is not.
How to shortlist without a ranked top ten
- Write the failure you had last month in one sentence. Missed expiry, missed pay day, missed drop window, or no idea where the van was.
- Match that sentence to one row in the first table.
- If you need two rows, budget two products. Do not expect the tracker to onboard a driver, or the driver file to plan a route.
- For any price that says "confirm", open the vendor's page on the day you decide. The Quartix and RAM figures above are dated 25 September 2026 and will move.
- Ignore case studies that quote a turnover cut, a minute-count for onboarding, or a future GPS launch. Those claims are not how this comparison is written.
Pricing states Zerity's £6 figure on its own page. Courier businesses is the operator page if the file and the pay run are the gap you named.
